The Glock 26 is, in my opinion, the best 9mm subcompact handgun available. The tennifer finish on the slide is bombproof, the low bore axis makes recoil extremely light, and the gun is 100% reliable out of the box, and can stand extreme torture tests without cleaning (although I recommend a routine cleaning on any firearm). Aftermarket sights are easy to install, and nearly any holster company has IWB, OWB, SOB, and other carry rigs for the subcompact Glocks. Can easily handle +P ammunition.
The only drawback to Glocks in general is disassembly of the magazine; it's extremely difficult without a Glock armorer's tool and a strong set of hands. However, once the proper magazine baseplate is installed, it won't come off unless you really want it to.
