Received my PX4 9mm compact last Thursday and took it to the range this past Sunday. I must say, I was terribly disappointed in the performance of this gun. I fired 120 rounds through it... only six of which fired correctly. Every shot was either a Jam, a failure to eject correctly where the shell was caught in the slide, or it did not load the next round into the chamber. I know there are break in periods for guns, but this was unacceptable. Thinking that maybe it simply needed to be oiled, I took it apart (which is very easy to do) and oiled all the necessary components. Upon doing so, I noticed a significant jagged area on the feed ramp where it should be smoothed out. This should have been done from the factory. I assume that this is what is causing all of the issues that I had experienced. I have a ticket opened with Buds to exchange the one I have for a new one. I will post an update once I receive the new one. For now, I am going to chalk this one up to a quality control issue from Baretta.
