All I can say is that I could not be more unsatisfied with this gun. I am a first time gun owner and only purchased a Beretta because of its reputation and reliability. Make sure you do your homework before purchasing this model. There are known issues with it repeatedly jamming. Those issues have not been seen before in the Full Size and Sub Compact versions because the springs used on those models are different. If I could go back I would definitely go with the Full Size Px4. Here is the story:

I recently purchased a brand new Beretta PX4 Compact 9mm from Budsgunshop and took it out to the range today and put 150 rounds through it (2 boxes of Federal 118g FMJ and 1 box of local range 118g FMJ) and not even exaggerating almost every other shot fired experienced either a feeding jam or stove pipe jam, and the slide-lock failed to lock after the last round was fired on just about very occasion.

I asked one of the range employees to test fire it as well and with proper technique and stance he was able to fire almost every round without experiencing a jam. He experienced one jam towards the end. He suggested the gun was overly sensitive to a case known as "limp-wrist".

With the PX4 compact it seems like I really need to stress a very sturdy grip and that is absurd! In a life or death situation I want to be able to draw my firearm without having to worry about maintaining perfect handgrip technique or else it won't function correctly....

Also, the rear sights are too far apart and the safety levers on this model stick out far too much on both sides causing them to cut into your skin every time you cock the gun. The slide lock releases (also on both sides of this model) also stick out limiting its concealed carry ability. It is also heavier than I expected. Overall EXTREMELY disappointed.
