Due to the cost I was hesitant to make this purchase. At the end of the day I decided to bite the proverbial bullet and shell out the extra cash. I can honestly say I do not regret that decision at all. I have the X5L mounted on my m&p 40 and it functions flawlessly. It fits absolutely snug and does not move at all. It's held zero for months now with no signs of stopping. I also used it on my glock 17 and it was equally as good a fit. The light is absolutely bright enough for any situation you may be presented with. And the green laser is clearly visible even on sunny days. In a blacked out room with white walls, the laser alone is bright enough to cast enough light to see by. The strobe feature is without a doubt bad news for anything that goes bump in the night. If you are not careful where your aiming the light on bright walls, you can actually impair your own vision. This is easily avoidable and is more a testament to the brightness of the light. Battery life is good, and particularly I would also reccomend getting one of viridians tacloc holsters to go with it. I can't say enough good things about this product. The price tag is steep, however if you can swing it, you will have no regrets. I know I don't.
