Ruger LC9 7+1 9mm Bl 3 dot Adj Sts
[3200]
$348.00
by Yuthika K Date Added: Thursday 05 May, 2011
I bought this gun for my wife to carry instead of her Kahr CW9. In accuracy and in size the they are the same; however, my wife likes the grip on the Ruger much better than the Kahr (the Kahr's texture is too aggressive and hurts her hand). We also like that it has a thumb-safety. We figured that my wife could put one in the chamber, have the gun in her hand with the safety on, and have her hand in her purse. If she needed to, she could quickly neutralize a threat without being conspicuous.

As other people have mentioned Ruger has placed too many safety features on this gun. One of the most annoying is the mag disconnect-lock that binds the trigger so you cannot fire during a reload. As a result of this feature I broke the trigger and mag springs and had to send it back to Ruger for repair. I called Ruger, explained the situation and they sent me a mailing label with no questions asked. Ruger does stand behind their products.

Knowing how fragile this gun is we do not plan on using it as a primary concealed carry weapon but I'm going to keep it as a backup.
