if you loved the LCP and thought the LC9 was going to be a 9mm version you are wrong. They made this gun with a bunch of California compliant crap and I traded it off the next day.
Here are the things I do not like #1) loaded chamber indicator pops up between sights 2) internal key locking system incorporated into trigger 3) has a mag disconnect that locks / binds the trigger so you can not fire during a reload 4) tear down for field strip requires key. All these additional systems built into the gun complicate it's workings and are more prone to failure. This gun is not suited for ankle gun carry as the constant pounding could in theory engage the trigger lock making the gun useless.
RUGER WHAT WERE YOU THINKING, YOU HAD THE WINNER WITH THE LCP WHY CHANGE THE DESIGN TO THAT OF A BIG 9MM LOSER!
