Ruger LC9 7+1 9mm Bl 3 dot Adj Sts

Picked up from my FFL today, Buds was quick and great as usual, Gary is a great guy. Now the gun.

I went straight from the FFL to the range with 50 rounds of cheap Blazer 115gr FMJ, some cheaper S&P stuff and some Remington 115gr JHP. No FTF or FTE. The gun shoots like a dream compared to a Keltec PF9 - with my Keltec I can shoot 25 rounds and then I'm done - the Keltec beats you up. The Ruger was nothing like the Keltec - the grip was more comfortable and the recoil was awesome. The loaded chamber indicator does not get in the way of the sites, the sites are good and easy to adjust. The thumb safety is no big deal - you really have to engage it if you want it on.

The trigger pull is long and took some getting used to, after 1 magazine I think I got the hang of it. It is smaller than my Kahr CW40 and the rounded edges make it feel smaller than it really is. It only comes with one magazine, that stinks - but my Sig only came with one mag too - so it seems like an industry direction to only include one mag. I'm using the extended finger grip and like it very much.

I really like this gun, control was good - accuracy was good and concealment is good, it's easier to conceal than my Kahr CW40.
