OMG! What an AWESOME gun! And Bud's service was great too! This is my second purchase from Bud's and certainly not my last. In both cases, I placed my order online and the gun was at my FFL in Colorado in 3 days! I got my new R1 Enhanced home and had a good look at it, what a beautiful gun! The fit and finish is outstanding, the action is very smooth and the trigger light and crisp. I disassembled, cleaned and oiled it up. Next day went to the range. I put 100 rounds through the R1 without a hiccup! The R1 is smooth and accurate!! I made a nice 3 inch hole where the X ring used to be and another 3 inch hole in the "head" of the silhouette at 20 feet, without adjusting the sites. The R1, like all full sized 1911's, is heavy, but the weight helps control the recoil and muzzle flip. In fact, the R1 has less felt recoil than my Beretta PX4 Strom 9MM. And you can not beat Bud's price!! I stopped at Gander Mountain to get some range ammo and saw they had the R1 Enhanced in the case...for almost $250 more than what I paid at Bud's....before tax!! I just laughed and walked away! If you're looking for a high quality, America made 1911, at a great price, you'll love the Remington R1 Enhanced. And there's no better place to order it than from Bud's!
