i purchased this for my M&P 15-22 was going to go with a 1.25x4 vx-r so to use it like a red dot but decided to go with the vx-r 2-7x33 really glad i did.. the 2 power is just low enough to use like a red dot but u have the option to go up to 7 power for those long squirrel head shots ..love the leupold vx-r line of scopes only scopes i buy now and with a lifetime no bs warranty
