This purchase had both ups and downs. Let's start with the ups. The XDM 5.25" is a wonderful weapon. compared to the other handguns I have (S&W sigma 9mm, Sig p250 .40, p226 .357sig, Glock 34 9mm) this one is by far the best. The accuracy is better than the Glock 34 (1.5" groups at 150' as opposed to 2.25 groups with the Glock), and the XDM feels lighter than the sigma even though the Springfield has a barrel that is 2" longer. Recoil is lighter than the Glock as well, and who can deny the look of the pistol. the cut-out in the slide accompanied with the deep serrations in the front and back of the pistol make it one of the best looking handguns on the market next to one-off customs. Another high-points was the ordering process. The website said to expect 3-5 days for processing and then 10-15 days for shipping. I ordered on a Saturday and the gun was in my hands on Wednesday. One of the fastest turn-arounds of anything I have ever ordered online.

The only dark spot on this entire transaction was the pricing listed on the site. While I understand that people paying cash are given a discount in price, I believe that since this is a website the online price(non-cash) should be listed as the primary price, and that the cash price should be listed as a secondary option on the order confirmation screen. Regardless of the difference between cash and credit ($749-$779)the price was still "fair"(my local gun store was $100 cheaper but would have taken 4 months to get the gun)
