The guns shoots. If you were in trouble, it could be of use. If you to shoot someone from any distance beyond 15ft, you may need to just take cover. While I had no hiccups with it, it is just a bit too snappy from such a small round. Yes, its small, but the turbulence of the recoil is enough to really get you off target even on a tight grip and trained aiming. It does what its supposed to (close quarters combat/deterrent) but I like a weapon that I can shoot from a safe cover distance, not just spray and pray.
