I'm actually disappointed with this rifle. I wish I'd have spent a little more money and bought a Ruger. Ruger comes with rings ready to go. All you have to do is buy a scope. I've been hunting all over town today trying to find the correct base for this savage rifle. I'm at home now with the WRONG one and not happy. You have to have a base, then rings and a scope. Ridiculous actually. I was just going to use it open sights but I'm not having much luck with the grouping and I am a pretty good shot. The owners manual says to use federal premium 168 grain ammo...40 bucks a box. No thanks. I'm going to see if I can get some tighter groups with the nikon scope I bought for it. As far as the reviews that say sub moa...not sure they're telling the truth about that. I had a heck of a time getting rear sight to move while trying to sight it on. They were really frozen. But hey, you get what you pay for. There's a reason this gun is low 400 bucks.
