Waited until I had some range time with the rifle to submit review. Good shooter. Shoots under 3/4" with several brands of factory ammo. It's a pure hunting rifle, control feed, all metal including floor plate, smooth action. Stainless is easy to maintain. The plastic stock is better than I had imagined but have ordered an MPI fiberglass stock as preferred. Last of the Made in the USA Winchesters. Will get a lifetime of hunting out of it.

The last of the USA made M70s. Typical excellent quality. Trigger was 3.7lbs right out of the box with superb break. No need to adjust the trigger on this one. Nice!! I actually like the Tupperware stocks on these shadow models. They are great for hunting and plenty stiff. The matte finish on these stainless models is durable and not nearly as fragile as the Ruger stainless matte. Do yourself a favor and grab one of these before they're gone....
