Very happy with Buds and Bersa.
I used their layaway program,sent in my checks over two and a half months and then Buds prompty sent the gun to my FFL.
A little peeved at my FFL but hey,the guy does it as a sideline really and the price is fairly cheap.
When I first looked at my 'Thunder 22' I was a little concerned because of the light brown shipping oil it was coated in,but after throroughly cleaning the gun and greasing the necessary parts,I must say,I am very happy with the quality of finish on this Bersa.
It's a kind of matte finish silver frame with a matte finish blued slide that has quality graphics stamped into it.
Looks like a quality handgun.
The safety is stiff but it's brand darn new.
I'm in the process of working that tab in now.
Other's have stated they really like the size and design on the frame and how it feels in their hands.
I can see why now.
I owned a Mauser HSC for almost thirty years and this gun fits my hand better then it ever did.
Big enough for a man's hand but small enough to fit in a pocket for legal concealed carry.
I have a license.
One note-the magazines finger grip will tend to peak out of the top of a jeans pocket.
It came with one mag but that's kind of normal in these days of trying to find a low price point to get the customer to buy some guns these days.
It comes with a key lock for the frame of the gun, and a nice two piece trigger lock too as well as a fired 22 casing.
And there is a shipping list in the paperwork for the gun for alot of accessories you might want for the gun ,including the extra mag direct from Bersa.
By the way,stripping this gun for cleaning is stone simple.
Every semi suto ever made should have this system to break the gun down.
Just drop a lever on the right side of the gun down,draw the slide back and up and ease it forward to break apart the gun for cleaning.
I'm really glad I made the choice to buy this Bersa 22 and I can't wait to get out to the range with the CCI mini mag 40 grn'r round nose bullet's I bought to feed it-got her in my pocket loaded with them as I write this.
I'll post back with a firing report but for now happy on all counts-even giving my FFL a break.
