I own a Savage 93R in .17 HMR, which is a real tack driver and I wanted to add another light caliber rimfire so I opted for the CZ 455 Varmint. The gun looked great out of the box with nice bluing on the steel and decent figure in the stick of wood for the stock. I got it out to the range this weekend and it did not dissapoint! The trigger is very light- surprising from a factory trigger and placed a five shot group from a bench rest that would fit under a nickel. The safety is pretty gritty but should improve with time and the trigger guard is not impressive but I will replace that. I was using Hornady ammo and then switched to Federal with no measurable change in grouping. This is going to be my favorite varmint gun and my next range trip is to run out the distance to 100 yards as this was 50 yard sight in range trip.
