I got the 971 home only to find severe rust inside the barrel( I thought it was residue from factory test firing). I made an effort to clean it but it was really rusted. Bud's was helpful They supplied a shipping label to send it back to Braztech. I drove the 45 miles to the UPS depot and sent it on it's way. That was over seven weeks ago. The last time I spoke with them they were waiting for a new barrel. Braztech customer service is helpful but that doesn't get it fixed any sooner. The lesson here is ; Check the firearm completely inside and out before you transfer it, just because it's new does not mean it is perfect. The finish on the firearm was very good but not perfect. The action seemed to work well also. I can't tell you how it shoots.....Maybe someday. I can't give it a good rating due to the defect and the bad feeling you get when your new gun goes away on vacation with an unknown return date.
