As for the rifle, it is was it is: dirt cheap, rugged, rough-hewn russian equipment designed to go 'boom' when fed any manner of ammo - which is exactly what it does. Mine feels like it will need some breaking-in, but after a coupla hundred rounds I have only had one failure-to-fire which might have been the super el-cheapo TulAmmo's fault. Mag changes and the safety lever are rough. Sights came correct for windage, needed to raise front post to correct elevation.
If you have ever fired an SKS, think of this as an 'uprade' from that but the same general concept - a smallish, nastily effective, poor-man's way of laying down a _=150 yd "get off my lawn" zone. If you like the SKS, get one of these you will love it.
