I spent about an hour on a long review, and bud's logged me out and forgot it when asking me to log back in.
So this won't be as detailed as I was hoping to be, but I'm not writing that all out again.
Some key points, though:
eats through any 308 or 7.62x51, including cheap steel case
thick chrome-lined barrel, about as accurate as AKs will get, plenty durable, I bet it'll last 10k rounds
recoil lets you know its there, but is comfortable
lefty friendly, ejection angle is forward, actually more forward than rightward
easy to field strip, if you follow the manual
decent aftermarket for parts, some compatible from AK stuff
mags are convertible to 10, there are 15, 20, and 25rd mags available.
-heavy, front heavy
-my extractor had some machining marks jutting out of it that made manual extraction really tough, had to take apart the bolt to fix that, which was a big bother to get back together
-my gas block pin is a bit of wire jammed in and bent to fit the handguard over it. Disappointing!
-not the most durable of finishes, the safety immediately cut a groove in it
-monte carlo stock on a blocky AK receiver. This izhmash mishmash makes for pretty bad ergonomics.
-the moved-rearward trigger is bad, you pull your finger back, and the angled trigger slides along your finger upwards. Or you could lift it, that's weird too, though.
-since it's imported, there's 922r laws restricting modifications
-not very suitable for a muzzle device, front sight's in the way
-standard AK sights, not suitable to 308, I think
Overall, 4/5 as a base rifle for conversion, 2.5/5 as is.
