What a sweet gun! Got my 930 with heat shield and breacher style muzzle brake from Bud's last week. Took it out to the range the same day and I was very impressed. I shot some trap skeet just to practice a little with it, not expecting to hit much, and did better than I thought I would. With #8 birdshot the recoil was minimal. It increased dramatically when I switched to a 00 buck load, as expected. It did not leave any bruises, however, even after about 10 rounds of the heavier load possibly due to the cushy recoil pad on the stock. The heat shield worked exceptionally well. It never even felt warm, even after some rapid fire shots. No FTE's or FTF's through about 50 rounds. I've already got my rail on order for my Eotech HWS, and also am adding some sling mounts at the rear and fore of the gun. Bud's service and shipping were exceptional as usual. The only issue I had about the whole deal, is that there were some minor blemishes on the receiver. Also on the heat shield there were several inch long scratches in the finish. On the charging handle it even looks like there was some rust beginning. This probably has more to do with Mossberg than Bud's, but this isn't really a concern for me because I also plan on giving the gun a Cerakote coating at some point. These marks were so minor I didn't even notice them at my FFL's when I inspected the weapon. Even if I had noticed them I would not have sent the gun back for the aforementioned reasons. Even with the minor blemishes, I have to give the top rating. The gun is quality and Bud's is a fantastic place to purchase. I am especially thankful for their layaway program. It helps me to make purchases it would be difficult to save for otherwise. I'll keep using it as long as they have it. Thanks, Bud's!!!
