These are good 'uns. Very good fit and finish. I believe they were all part of a short run that is over now. Snap up one of the 7x57's if you can. FW's are a good weight and have good balance. And they've got the nifty schnabel forend. Mine has a fairly dark, plain brown walnut stock. The bolt is not as brightly jeweled as the old NH guns. The thick decelerator pad is not necessary for a 'bob. The trigger is a little stiff right out of the box, but can be adjusted. Still, very nice Model 70 in a caliber that fits it well. Very cool rifle.

I've been looking for a 257 Roberts for a while now and I've wanted to pick up one of the FN-made Winchester Model 70s; so I killed two birds with one stone with this order. The rifle feels light and well-balanced. Fit and finish appear very good. You won't confuse the stock with that of a Super Grade, but it's a handsome walnut with excellent checkering. I can't speak to the rifle's accuracy or reliability as I haven't had the chance to get it out to the range.
