Just picked this up from my FFL and I am very satisfied. Comfortable for its size and easy to carry. Only issue I had with it was the magazines, they were a pain and then some to get fully loaded the first time. In a week or so it should wear in the springs enough to make it easier. Would highly recommend to anyone. The trigger is phenomenal, very crisp, breaks clean, and the reset is short and easy to feel and hear. I had an M&P40 compact prior to purchasing this, and hands down would go with the Shield any day of the week over the compact. Besides the painful mag loading, there is not much I can say negative about this firearm. If you are a Lefty as I am, the safety is pretty much useless. It's fairly easy to flip the safety off with some lefty ingenuity, but flipping it on takes some getting used to. Being Im used to having no safety, I do not see this as a negative really, just trying to be fair in my review and mention anything that may help someone else who may not like the difficulty of the safety as a left hand shooter.
