The pistol works well, very good quality for a clone, especially for the price. I just did not enjoy shooting it, hence 4 out of 5 stars.

This is a great CZ75 Compact clone made by Canik in Turkey. It makes a fine CCW pistol.

Great price. Great shooting pistol. CZ Mags fit but stick out of the mag well slightly. Always a pleasure shopping at Bud's.

Debated between a Glock 19 and a CZ 75 B or CZ 75 compact. Read many reviews and the Tristar c-100 kept popping up. I read more about the Tristar and considering my age, cost and reviews, I ordered the Tristar. FFL received the Tristar promptly from Buds. I thought the finish and fit were very good and have been happy with the service from Buds and the Tristar. To be honest, I must point out that with virus lock downs, I have not had the chance to shoot it.

This gun became one of my favorites super quick if you love CZs you will love this pistol very light, very dependable, good sights and super accurate. Buds service was great as usual fast shipping ....aftermarket grips are easy to come by and most CZ parts are interchangeable...bottom line great 5 star gun i would bet my life on and put up against higher priced guns anytime

I really wanted the Tisas Regent BR9 Hi Power clone and it was sold out here. Went to a local gun store to look for it, but they didn’t have it either. They did have the Tristar C100 for $465. I felt it and it felt really good. Decided to look on Buds and they had it for $399. I did some research and it seemed like a good gun, so I ordered it. I also got the spring kit from Cajun Gun Works and it dropped the trigger lbs down about 35%. I shot 100 rds through it and it is dead accurate. So with the gun, springs, and transfer fee I got this gun at $439 and I’m truly happy with it. This is the best budget gun I ever bought.

I am very pleased with this, my first Canik/Tristar. I have always wanted a CZ 75 compact, and this is every bit as good, for 200+ less. Quality is fantastic. I have not put it through it's paces yet, but just test fired a mag, and the recoil is SO manageable. I love the slide-in-frame design. Buds made this very easy, and were extremely helpful in the process.

This is an outstanding CZ clone, light weight and perfect for conceal carry. The out of the box trigger is clean and smooth. Fit and finish is excellent, this is my second tristar purchase from buds and I love them both. Get it you won’t regret it.

The tristar by canik t100 is the ultimate cz75 compact alternative. Steel slide aluminum body for $125.00 less its a buy!! Feels, and looks as good as the cz. These are great guns period. The ultimate hammer fire edc every day carry. Perfect size just like its cz cousin. Which is better the CZ or the canik? It's a dead Heat take your pic both fantastic firearms and by the way the TriStar T100 looks great as it is out of the box I did order the cherry wood handles here from buds it really enhance the look but could have gone either way

For the price, a killer deal. Near CZ quality DA/SA pistol for around 200 dollars less. I have fired 800 rounds of steel-cased ammo out of this pistol (300 Winchester USA Forged, 500 Wolf,) without cleaning, and have had 0 malfunctions so far. Unless they have spotty quality control, expect to get a reliable piece. I have average to large sized hands, and with the magazine in place, the grip is just the right size (with no magazine, my pinky is just barely gripping the bottom.) Not a huge fan of the plastic grip panels, the stippling is good and they seem sturdy enough, but the finger grooves encourage you to choke down on the grip a bit. Trigger pull is nothing to write home about, long and heavy on double action, decent enough on single action. There is no de-cocker. The manual literally tells you to grip the hammer between your thumb and forefinger, and carefully let it down onto the pin when you pull the trigger. Not a huge deal, but if you plan on carrying/storing it in condition 2, it's a small detail worth considering. It seems accurate enough, but I'm rather inexperienced at pistol shooting. After getting a couple groups on paper, they seemed tight, but my point of impact was just beyond the bottom left corner on a dinner-plate sized target at 10 yards. As far as I can tell, the sights are not elevation adjustable, and the only windage adjustment you get is knocking the rear sight back and forth with a punch. Take that into consideration.

I have recently noticed that Canik/Tri Star pistols have been highly rated on Bud's website as well as other sites. Almost all reviews were uniformly positive, so I thought I would give them a try. After asking a question in the "Ask the Community" section and getting a very clear answer from Randy i, I figuratively pulled the trigger on the purchase. The C-100 arrived quickly as per Buds usual performance. First, the magazine in any semi auto will either go un-noticed or cause frustrating feed problems. The two fifteen round mags that came with the pistol were marked "Canik Compact 9mm" on the right side. Closer examination of the front showed the markings "Made in Italy" and "MecGar." You just can't go wrong with MecGar. A for the magazines. I have never had any firearm with a Cerakote finish and I think it is great. The finish is deep black with a surface somewhere between semigloss and eggshell. The coating itself is flawless, no dull spots, drips, or errors. A for the finish. The inside tooling was good and I didn't notice any burrs anywhere. I have never had a top of the line pistol ($$$), but the tooling on this one is as good or better than any of the other pistols I have owned. If I ever get a Kimber I'll do a comparison. On the range the C-100 performed admirably. Using Remington/UMC 115 gr ammo there were zero malfunctions of any type over 150 rounds fired. Recoil was easily managed. I haven't shot this well in years. The gun was giving me much tighter groups than I have had in recent experience. I would say that the combination of mild recoil and the grips that fit my hand very well are responsible for the improvement in my shooting. Like any firearm this one certainly isn't perfect. The white dots on the sights could be a little larger to accommodate my aging eyes. The hammer all the way down double action trigger pull is a bit heavy and a bit long. I carry from the half cock position and the trigger pull from half cock is much improved over the hammer down pull. The single action trigger is just sweet. The grips aren't flashy or fancy, but if that is what you need you can buy some aftermarket dazzlers. The C-100 is a well made, reliable, compact handgun that is available at a very reasonable price. It is great for EDC. If it gets banged around and scratched up over years of carry, you won't be out a lot of money. For me its purchase is inexpensive enough that I can afford more ammo for practice. A lot of accurate bang for the buck.

buds delivered quickly and i had my gun in under a week, now about the gun. I absolutely love it for my concealed carry, it also is pretty comfortable to shoot. Fits perfectly in the hand. Decent grouping at 5yds , over all a pretty good quality gun for the price.

The Tristar C100 I got from Buds is great, more accurate than my glock 19. It is nicely finished, I put new rosewood grips on it, looks very nice. I put about 600 rounds through it with out any problens. Holsters are little difficult to find here in U.S. but there is a Czechoslovakian company who sells holsters for CZ 75s that look snd fuction perfect.

Bought this gun in June 2018, great deal, for this quality of firearm. Immediately upgraded to Trijicon Night sights, and VZ grips. Put about 200 rounds through today, and it shoots great. Couldn't be happier. I bought one of the S120's a couple of years ago, and had some minor issues, sights were terrible and shot low. Made this purchase much better. Can't go wrong with this one!!!

Beautiful gun exactly what I was expecting!!! I’m more than likely going to buy another for my wife to shoot. It’s very accurate. Only thing is FedEx delivers and in my city they suck!

I bought this gun on August 23, 2017 and have CC'd it every week since then, as well as put nearly 3000 rounds through it at the range so far. The focus of this review is on the product itself as well as its capabilities/drawbacks for concealed carry owners. Half the price of a CZ-75 Compact/PCR with 95% of the functionality. Ergonomics: 4/5, The ergos are great, fits a slightly larger than average hand very well, no problem with any number of grips styles. I changed out the grips from the stock Tristar grips (a bit thin and plasticky, but this gun is so cheap, it doesn't matter, buy some aftermarket grips) to CZ rubber grips, and may eventually install the Cajun Gun Works thin aluminum grips. A few things though: I think the slide lock/release should be set further back for easier access without adjusting operating hand, but this is a CZ design feature, not necessarily Canik/Tristar. Mag release is fine, although with my holster, the checkered pattern rubs my side (negligible). The pistol has experience a little bit of finish wearing around the edges/corners, I suppose from going in/out of holsters daily, but nothing too noticable. Carry: 5/5, With both IWB and OWB (2:30-3:30, depending on dress), carrying is very comfortable, no jagged edges or bulky controls digging into you. For being a 14 1 pistol, it is as light as many polymer carry guns of comparable size, due to the alloy frame/steel slide configuration (thanks CZ). With a solid belt, carrying in cold weather with a jacket with OWB, it's like having your phone clipped to your belt, the weight is hardly noticeable. Warm weather carry however, you may need to adjust your holster for concealment (I have Aliengear, and set it to the lowest setting in my waistband while retaining a positive cant). Performance: 4/5, SA trigger is fine. Not too light (it isn't a competition gun), not too heavy (the difference between 3.5# and 4.5# trigger pull won't matter when your life is at stake, just your mental/physical readiness and range time). DA trigger is a bit heavy, however I carry cocked and locked Condition 1, so I never have a DA trigger pull. But options are nice, and carrying DA safety off would be nice too. I don't personally have a preference to decockers over manual safeties, but many people do, and in that case, put this at 3/5 or ignore it. As far as shooting, in ~3000 rounds, it has only had 1 FTF (and this was likely due to the ammo, Monarch steel cased range ammo), but with most of it being with clean, brass-cased 115gr Fiocchi FMJ/HP, it's fed nicely. I've shot some Aguila 124gr HP, Winchester 115gr FMJ, and some others and it eats pretty much anything. Upgrades/Aftermarket: 5/5, This gun shares an aftermarket with CZ-75 PCR/Compact, so grips, triggers, hammers, springs, sights, etc. are all interchangeable and definitely a plus. I'm sure there are a few things that can't be swapped, but people like Cajun Gun Works have a ton of Canik/Tristar specific products/tunings to either enhance the aesthetics or performance of the gun. For the money you would spend on an OEM CZ, get CGW's defensive carry package, which I've heard (haven't personally done yet but likely will) makes this even better than a stock CZ. Price: 5/5, Come on, I paid $365 for 365 days of carrying. That's 1 dollar a day for the opportunity to reliably and safely protect myself and others, should the situation arise. I promise, this pistol is worth it. I did many hours of research before pulling the trigger and don't regret it at all. You won't either. Even if somehow you do, these sell for almost the same amount new and retain their value. Tristar vs. CZ: I shot the CZ-75 BD full-size before buying this to get a feel for the platform (which I do recommend, you need to like the 75 platform to like this. If you prefer 1911, Polymer, Hi-Power, or a different platform, grab one of those. But the CZ-75 platform has been tried and tested through several decades of Euro police work and private carrying. Tristar just decided to capitalize on the good reputation of CZ by making it in Turkey, with minimal shortcuts (grips, and a somewhat lower quality finish) for a considerably lower price. The warranty on these from Tristar is 1 year for manufacturing defects and 4 years of free parts, assuming the gun hasn't been improperly handled/altered. TL;DR- If your budget is ~$400, and you trust the incredibly reliable CZ-75 platform, and need a good gun for concealed carry/range/home defense, appreciate a good aftermarket for upgrades, buy this gun.

Another high quality gun from Canik/Tristar. Finish and fit is superb. Magazines included are high quality. No unfinished edges or blemishes, came well lubed and packaged. Grips are perfect from the factory - comfortable, ergo-shaped and has good grip surface. Sights are good - good enough not to do anything about them. You would not believe how light this pistol is, seriously - polymer frame territory weight. There is absolutely no need to do anything to this mechanical marvel. As expected, new gun is little stiff in function, but getting smoother after each range session and cleaning. Trigger breaks little too far out for my taste, have to change my grip and technique to prevent front sight fish-tail post break, however, for purpose of pleasure range shooting and maintaining a collection - its fine. I have little doubt these will go up in price within a couple of years, Tristar guns are tremendous value for the money.
