Received the SD40VE yesterday, out of the box it was perfect, nice & clean with a bit of factory oil on it. The action worked smooth as silk, magazines ejected perfectly and everything looked great. Couldn't take it to the range due to dodgy weather, but was able to take it out today. Loading the magazines is fairly easy but rounds 10-14 were pretty tight fit, after loading 100 rounds through them my thumbs were numb. Also worthy of noting when fully loaded the ammo rattles around inside the magazines??!! Not sure if this was a one time fluke or a design flaw but it happened with both magazines. I did read on another site someone else experienced the same thing, they mention this would make concealed carry a bit buggery.
At the range the SD40 performed perfectly, while it's been some time since I last fired a handgun, the size & weight felt very natural. I was only able to find 180gr Federal American Eagle and put 100 rounds through it without a single FTF or FTE!! I'm very happy about that. Now just need to get comfortable with it and find the sweet spot.
I'm very happy with my purchase from Buds, great price & great service, although shipping was a bit slow, I would buy it again in a heartbeat!!
