[CW3833]

I bought this to replace a Diamondback DB9 as my pocket/ankle carry gun. The DB9 was the perfect size and preferable 9mm caliber, but after a LOT of trying to "break it in" and get it fixed at the factory, it just wouldn't run reliably (or accurately) enough for a self defense gun. The CW380 is almost the exact same size as the DB9, with the only negative trade-off being the less powerful cartridge. But the tradeoff was well worth it... after my first trip to the range with the CW380, I am extremely happy with it. I also own the CW9 for waistband carry and I am just as happy with both Kahr models. The CW380 is very easy to conceal and shoots like a dream for such a small pistol. I broke it in with 100 rounds of cheap PMC ammo and did not have a single malfunction. The very first magazine did not lock the slide after the last round, but it locked back every single time after that... which is completely acceptable and failing to lock back is not even considered a stoppage in my opinion. I was able to shoot the CW380 two-handed, one-handed, weak-handed, etc. and able to hit a 4-inch plate at about 10 yards if I really concentrated... I can't claim any of the above with the DB9.
Pros:
- Extremely concealable
- Manageable recoil for its size
- Smooth trigger
- Good sights
- Slide lock
Cons:
- Not a 9mm
