Very fun shoot at 15-25 yards and surprisingly accurate with tight groups. A bit hard for me to load, but still fun for such a tiny pistol for target shooting! Seems to be made of very high quality all steel and recommend using the larger rubber grips.

Great and Lethal little pocket revolver that fits almost anywhere. Have a little soft holster with a pouch that holds six extra rounds that slips in my back pocket or front pocket with ease. It’s an accurate revolver as long as your subject or target is within 10 to 15 yards. And 22 magnum is an often underrated round.

Living in a handgun, variety-restricted State, there are only two models of NAA mini-revolver listed on the roster. Being revolvers, NAA could, if they so choose, have other models certified which I'm sure would increase sales markedly, but it is what it is. As for THIS revolver, it can be purchased because it meets the criteria for all single-action revolvers. The simple reason is because the 4" barrel makes it just over 7.5" in length. My primary interest in this model is of course its unique, swing-out cylinder. I already own a NAA MR and have no illusions as to any form of "speed reload" should the day ever come to use it for its design purpose, but it's just neat to have. Certainly it IS faster to load and reload than one where the cylinder must be removed and each empty shell pushed out, so there's that. Since NAA has not submitted one for certification in the shorter barrel, my first inclination in buying this model was to reduce the barrel down to around 2", but after seeing it in person I don't think so. The major impediment to concealment is weight first, then bulk. As tiny as this pistol is in every dimension save for length, it can be easily slipped into any number of places and actually becomes easier to conceal than the stubbier models! This thing carries effortlessly with the barrel slipped inside the waistband just to the cylinder - very secure, and quick access! The mighty .22 magnum looses a lot of suds from a 1-5/8" barrel, but when it comes screaming out of a 4" tube, it's carrying serious energy. Though it's no larger than its short-barrel siblings, it "feels" more controllable in the hand because there is a tiny bit more mass out front to off-set handling by chunky, oversize fingers. As for this model specifically, it's typical of NAA quality which is to say, all stainless steel, very meticulously machined and fitted, and the finish is a beautiful satin-matte surface. The swing-out cylinder takes a little getting used too since it comes out the right side, and one must remember that even though the cylinder swings out in traditional fashion, the tiny gat must still be placed on "half-cock" to retract the firing "blade" from the cylinder so it can clear going out and in. Cylinder unlatching is smooth and just a hint of "gritty"which will probably wear-in quickly. Though small, one with practised hands can easily and quickly snap off all five shots with near blinding speed, by simply hauling back on the spur trigger and hanging on while "thumbing" the hammer back five times in rapid succession! Though this little gun can certainly be manipulated with one hand, going two-up on the handle makes it a super-fast, close-range blaster. All controls function as expected on a piece built by North American Arms, smooth cocking action, with crisp let-off. I have no idea how many pounds because whatever it is, it's not much. A box of CCI Maxi-Mag 40 grain TMJ went through without a single hitch, bobble, or misfire - not that these little pistols generally see a lot of cap-busting. My first NAA .22 Mag is still working on it's second box of ammo (I think I misplaced half of the first box) and I've owned it since 1985! But, just because it's so easy to recharge the swing-out cylinder model, pumping out 50 shots wasn't a chore, nor time-consuming. AT 10 feet, near point-blank, the Sidewinder managed to put five shots inside of a small paper plate in just under one second. That's excellent performance, and exactly what this little gat was made to do! For those living in California, this is a definite BUY if you have been wanting the swing-out cylinder option. With the 4" barrel, 5-shots capacity, and overall length of 7.5" it meets the qualifiers to be sold in California even though you won't find it listed on the Roster.

Bud's was great to work with. Shipped next day I paid for. The NAA Sidewinder is a cool lil piece! Using it as a BUBUG. Fired her today for the 1st time, very nice. I was surprised at how accurate it was(25' or less). Took a few shots to get the hang of holding this tiny gun with fairly large hands, but after that it was enjoyable, and an easy fire. If your looking for something you can always have on you, this is it. Tiny, light weight quality piece. 22 mag is no joke.
