Great handgun!

The controls are exceptionally ergonomic, and the action is quite smooth. It's an FN, its going to eat whatever you feed it. I've had a few hiccups with ammo starting out...being the way ammo is now, I'm buying what I can. I'd have to say that anything at 124gr has fired flawless, but 115gr is wishy washy. I've fired 400 rounds so far and I've had about 2 FTE's and 4 FTF's. To be entirely honest, I'm siding with the fact of it being because of the ammunition. The FTE's I've been told the recoil spring on this handgun is pretty stiff, which I can totally believe after racking a new FNS then racking a Smith & Wesson M&P (similar size and build). The FNS had a significantly stiffer spring and was also told needed a break in period. I used a box of P 124gr (which is perfectly fine to fire through this rig, believe me, I asked) and fired exceptionally and also helped break in the FNS. After about 250 rounds, I did not see any more FTE's and only 1 FTF (Remington UMC 115gr...90% of the problems accounted to this brand). For plinking, I've been using 124gr and 115gr CCI blazer which have had only 1 FTF with the 115gr. This pistol is very accurate and precise at 25-30 yards and seems to be quite a beast. It is a bit large for CCW but it is working perfectly for me at the 8:30-7:00 position (3:30-4:00 which ever I feel like).

The only reason why this review has 4 stars instead of 5 is mainly because of the recoil spring being as stiff as it is out of the box. The second round fired on this was an FTF and had me pretty worried about the future of this pistol. The way this handgun shoots now is phenomenal and I could not be more satisfied now that the "break-in" period is over. The other part I was uncertain about was that I had originally thought that this would come with trijicon night sights...Just something to watch for if you are looking. I paid $529.00 base for this so I honestly can't complain when the MSRP is $699.00

If you have an ounce of patience and a couple hundred rounds, you'll be very please from the way that this pistol shoots and the every day use....Lefties or ambidextrous users like me should fall in love.

Give this handgun som solid research.
