I purchased the Remington Ultimate Defense Cartridges for my personal protection cartridge of choice. I have a S&W 9 MM and feel that I needed the stopping power that the Ultimate Defense affords me. I do not have a larger gun, but with the superior expansion of the Remington as compared to many of the other regular hollow point bullets, this bullet gives you the ability to stop someone looking to harm you or your family without worrying.Some other hollow rounds do not have the stopping power and the perp taking a few rounds of a full metal jacket or an inferior expanding bullet may not stop even with a few rounds in him, especially if they are intoxicated or high on some other drug. This is the only round I use in my 9mm that gives me peace of mind. I know when I hit my target, they will feel the stopping power of this bullet.
