Got a few compliments on the revolver by my FFL dealer, and they are a Ruger dealer! First the cons... the finish is a head-turner but does the job. Like another reviewer said on here, the gold screws are non-existant. And the fixed sights leave little to be desired when trying to quickly acquire your target, but work fine once you get used to it.
Now the pros... the gun shoots very precise groups out to 15yds and maybe a bit more. I got bored plinking cans at that range and started standing up spent 12-gauge shells at 10yds to give me a bit more of a challenge. To my surprise, every shot hit the mark with no deviation.
Trigger is crisp and consistent, hammer action is solid, and not one FTF with Federal Bulk .22. Although I did let another shooter try it at the range and he had 2 FTF in 60-shots with Remington Gold. After checking the failed round I could see that the firing pin struck just fine, the ammo was the cause.
All-in-all 1200 rounds later, this SA revolver is a workhorse that gets the job done. I'm confident it will last through my lifetime, who knows if it has heirloom potential like a Single-Six. While I was originally looking for an economically priced DA/SA revolver, I chose this over the latter because of the ol' reliability factor. I don't regret my decision one bit, thank you Heritage.
