This is a good little .22. I got it for my daughters, but may have to buy another, as I fell in love with it as well. It's light, accurate, and has everything the basic .22 should. The ejector works with enthusiasm, and the gun is not picky about ammo. Shotgun shell bowling is easy with this little shorty. I would recommend it for anyone--not just those on a budget. With a .22, I'm not overly concerned about firepower, because I have rifles for that. The semis are great, but if you want a durable, reliable firearm, NEF/H&R provide some great ones that don't weigh you down in the woods.
