This gun is a very good value, if you want a nice hunting gun or a defensive shotgun, it will do the trick. As far as performance goes I haven't had a single issue, I have put about 300 rounds through without a glitch. There are a few things you may want to consider with this weapon before you make the purchase though. For some reason the first few times I stripped this weapon it was incredibly tough to put back together, I don't know what the deal was but the slide took me a good half hour to get back in place and the trigger guard pins took quite a bit of time to fit back in too. The more times I've taken it apart, the better it is getting, but it seems like there was a break in period for sure. Secondly, 870 accessories don't fit as well some may make out. They fit, but not how they should, they are always a little off/ you have to alter them a little at the least. Thirdly, Its difficult to get replacement/accessory barrels. I got this 28" version an its looking like it will be a HUGE hassle to get a shorter barrel. You have to send the whole gun back to the the manufacturer and they fit it with a shorter barrel, and according to the website they only offer barrels down to 22" (870 barrels won't work FYI). It will definitely get the job done, and looks really slick, but just consider these things before you make the purchase
