This was my first gun purchase ever. I purchased this gun because it was small and the grip fit nicely in my hand. The problem was that the gun failed to fire or failed to feed whether I or seasoned shooters shot it. It didn't matter what kind of ammo was used. I ended up selling the gun back to Buds.

Great product, I love it. Buds shipped it quickly, no issues. I bought this to train the kids and single ladies who want to learn. I do need to use hotter ammo to minimize ftf, etc. I probably have 600-900 rounds through it. I would buy another.

I shot about 200 rounds of Remington Thunderbolt ammo through this pistol the first time out and had maybe 3 cycling problems where it didn't reload the chamber. It could possibly be the ammo. It has a very loud report, wear earplugs. It has a good feel in your hand and the sights line up well. It shot very accurately, I didn't have to adjust the sights. Takedown for cleaning is much easier than putting it back together. The recoil spring is a bit of a pain to collapse while putting the slide on. Overall, this is a very nice pistol for the purpose of training new shooters.

Bought this little pistol for my daughter and she loves it. Good quality and feels tight.

Great price on this Walther. however that's about the only good thing I have to say about it. took a very long time to break in . many , many , jams and stovepipes. Finally after hundreds of rounds it finally functions flawlessly ( but only with CCI Mini-Mags ) Other hi-power .22 ammo is not reliable. ( Remington was like a single shot , wouldn't even kick the slide back far enough to jam )I guess I have to say I like it now but I wouldn't do it again.

This is my 5th firearm purchase from BUDS. Great layaway program!! Thanks! With regard to the Walther P22, which I received in February 9th, I must say that I am very pleased with this pistol. I needed a 22lr handgun with good sights and did my homework comparing with other 22's. I chose this one due to it being a very popular brand and model. There is one requirement: you must use High Velocity ammo. I contacted Walther Arms and even they recommended CCI Minimags, American Eagle 22 lr 38 gr HP, Remington Golden Bullets 40 gr, etc... Took it to the range this morning and fired 50 rounds of Aguila SuperExtra 40 gr, 50 rounds of Federal Premium HV Match 40 gr. No issues. However, when I tried Federal Target Match, which is standard velocity, I got 4 FTE's after 20 rounds. I would not use the "hyper velocity" ammo, since this is not recommended, probably due to the high pressure which can damage this gun. Very good pistol. Great price too!

A very nice small .22 for ccw if you want .22lr. It takes all ammo so far, very accurate. thanks Bud's for a perfect transaction, nice and smooth as always.

Love this handgun. So much fun to shoot. I have, i'd say, average sized hands, and it feels so comfortable in my hands. Haven't had any issues with the ammo I've used so far. I have used Aguila and CCI. Also love the European style mag release. Feels easier to release than the traditional button mag release. would buy again.

Excellent, fun little gun. This is my first .22 semi auto pistol and I love it. It cycles everything from cheap stuff like Federal bulk to the hotter round nose stuff thats more expensive like CCI. HOWEVER, after about 100 - 150 rounds I started to get fails to feed / eject, no FTF. I did have an issue with Aguila high velocity rounds where it wouldn't eject the casing even when manually racking the slide - the casing was stuck in the chamber and the gun tried to ram the next round behind it. Caused a minor issue, had to drop mag and pry it out. No others issues with ammo. Well worth the investment. Came with 2 mags which was nice. BEWARE: assembly is a chore. I scraped and scratched my slide rails pretty bad the first time I did it...not a big deal but that recoil spring is a pain. When shooting the groupings were consistent and the sights dead on - great buy for anyone looking for a cheap, fun pistol

Love this little gun. Basically a mini PPQ. Trigger is good and it has ate federal match to the high power loads and not a failure. Not crazy about the magazine safety but nothing we can do about it. One thing. A bear to put back together. The recoil spring is not captured and about like trying to put a mad snake in a bottle. lol. I find a popcicle stick broke in half lengthwise helps a lot to guide the spring back onto the rod as you pull the slide on. So when you take it apart lube and clean it good. I use Wilson combat ultima lube grease oil on the slide rails so it will stay there a long time. This gun is a solid mount barrel and very accurate for a little auto. Buy it. You will like it!!!

A great small 22LR pistol. Received mine a couple of days ago and before firing it, I field stripped and cleaned the pistol, mostly removing excess oil. Fired mine today, about 100 rounds and not one single failure. Used CCI Mini Mag, Federal Match HV, Remington Golden Bullet, Aguila Super Extra high velocity, and Browning BPR. 100% reliable on these rounds. Mine was made in 2016 so perhaps the P-22 has corrected the finicky nature for the ammo. Buds transaction was flawless.

I have read several reviews stating the Walther P22 Is ammo sensitive. I purchased a P22 last week and gave it an ammo function test today shooting 5 rounds each of 8 types of ammo. Federal American Eagle 40 grain, Remington Golden Bullets, CCI Standard 40 grain, Remington Thunder Bolt 40 grain, Winchester X-Pert 36 grain hollow-points, and CCI MiniMags all shot and cycled flawlessly. I had one failure to feed with Winchester Wildcat 40 grain (second of five shots), and one failure to feed and one failure to eject with Federal American Eagle 38 grain hollow-points (both second of five shots). This is the 4th P22 that I have owned and the others functioned about like this one. As an aside, I can't recall ever having a cycling problem with my Ruger SR22 while my Sig Mosquito would not cycle at all with the Federal American Eagle 38 grain hollow-points. Overall, I am satisfied with the P22 and think it is a very good buy for the money.

Not much I can say about the P22 that everyone else who owns one hasn't already said. Its inexpensive, its reliable its fun as all hell to shoot and for the price I may have to pick up another one. Once again Buds came through with a great product at a great price and as always great service.

This is a decent little gun. Just got it in today. I bought it just to stick on my boat and plink and am definitely happy with the purchase. It came with a hard plastic case, 2 10 round magazines, a slide lock, a threaded barrel, and a wrench to remove the thread protector. I shot 20 rounds of federal match grade and 20 rounds of browning bpr hollow points through it without any issues at all. The gun is a little small for a bigger guy like me, but since it's a 22 and has almost no recoil, it's really not an issue. Love it! Buds was fast getting it to my ffl also, ordered it last Thursday and it was ready this morning (monday).

Great 22 pistol that comes suppressor near ready (needs a $19 thread adapter for 1/2 x 28 threaded accessories). I have had it two days and with 300 plus rounds through it with a variety of ammo - zero FTF (a lot of them were low powered slow moving lead too). Excellent accuracy and amazing grip feel. I love it already! Super light will be great as a pack a long 22 for camping and hiking.

It's great looking gun that's light and feels good in the hands. However it is VERY picky with ammo, only shoots and cycles high velocity ammo (semi) reliably. Mine works best with CCI high velocity and surprisingly, Remington Golden Bullets. Pretty much any other ammo will give it fits with FTF and FTE's. Overall, I wouldn't recommend it, if you want similar size and weight 22LR handgun, I'd go with the Ruger SR22 or Smith&Wesson M&P22 compact. Those two are a lot more reliable and work better with a wider variety of ammo.

What can I say about this pistol that hasn't been said? It's a great gun and a blast to shoot. As always, Buds was perfect all the way!!

This was my first gun purchase. Ive shot several guns but this was my first 22 pistol. A lot louder than i thought and its a picky gun requiring its own special ammo CCI mini mags which raise the price to operate. Ive heard after a couple hundred rounds the spring well loosen up and you can use anything else. Fun gun to teach my fiance and my family to get comfortable with a newer pistol. Buds service was fantastic and quick shipping.
