Love my new Citidel M1 9mm Carbine! As a M1 Carbine enthusiast (I own 27 of them) and my second 9mm M1 Carbine (thanks Iver Johnson) I can say that it really shoots great! Using my favorite competition load of the Missouri Bullet Company's 124 grain semi wad cutter over a mild charge of Winchester 231, bowling pins and plates at a 100 yard are easy. The trigger has a typical WW2 Carbine feel to it, but will probably turn off buyers accustomed to the AR 15 series. It's the perfect companion to my Beretta 92 Jarvis Custom and my wife is demanding that I buy another one for her! The M1 Carbine forums have lots of suggestions on how to add G.I. parts (sights and so on) to make it more rugged and durable for those who choose to do so. My Citidel 9mm M1 is also accurate and reliable with the magazines that came with it as well as the magazines issued to me by the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department. This M1 is a companion piece to my Citdel M1 .22 long rifle which also a winner. The M1 9mm Carbine is a hand loader's dream when you keep the round sub-sonic....and 124 grain jhp at 950 feet per second really does a number in ballistic gel. For those people who think the 9mm has no place in a Carbine for self defense, my 9mm Carbine is loaded with Liberty Civil Defense 9mm ammo that sends a 50 grain pure copper hollow point out of my Carbine at 2400 fps!
