Great pic. A group of us brought various pcc and of the 4 straight blowback pccs there this one had the lightest recoil. Accuracy was a as good as any of the others about 3” at 50 yards with range ammo. I wish they had the 40 cal available. I would have picked one of those up too.

All I can really say about this weapon is fun, fun, fun. If you want to have a blast shooting you got to get one of these CX4 Storms. I put a red dot on it that co-witness with the aperture sights and it is awesome. Buds has great deals and fast dependable shipping.

Never had one failure of any type with this carbine! Hundreds of rounds fired.

Great shooter. Comes heavily oiled from the factory. You'll want to clean that off before going to the range or you'll spend a while cleaning it. comes with an extra mag and the adjustment tool.

A few months ago I bought my first modern sport rifle, a S&W AR-15 .22, and it's a great plinker, but has spent more time getting fixed at the factory than in the range because of constant failures to load, eject or fire. I got fed up and decided to look for something else. The Beretta Storm CX4 had great reviews and everybody said that they had fired thousands of rounds without a single failure, so I ordered one. Well, today I received mine and took it to the range, where I loaded 30-round Beretta mags I had also ordered. After the first round, I got a stovetop! After that it worked relatively well. Out of 120 rounds, I got three failures to eject. Maybe it needs breaking in. Lubrication is not a problem because it arrived well lubricated from the factory. Besides that issue, I love the design, the feel, the light weight, the moderate recoil and --most of all-- the accuracy. It took me about ten minutes to adjust the iron sights in order to get five-shot groups within a couple of inches at 18 yards, and I'm not a great shot. I ordered a riser so I can mount my Accushot scope and, when I get it, I plan to test the carbine in an open range at 100 yards. I have a feeling it will do great. We'll see.

This is my second CX4 Storm, the first one being in .45 caliber. The first one impressed me so much, I wanted one to go with my Model 92 pistol. These carbines are short, handy, reliable, and just fun too shoot. When I bring mine to the range, everybody wants some time on it. I could see this gun as a good home gun, it's size makes it better handling that any stocked shotgun, plus recoil is much easier on the shooter than a shotgun. It is also set up to handle optics, light and even a laser, right out of the box, with all its rails. The sights it comes with are very satisfactory too. And did I say it was fun to shoot, which will only work to your favor to be a better shooter. Buds price puts inbetween a quality 9 mm and a quality .45, so I don't think it is overpriced for what are you are getting. I recommend it.

I've owned a few 9mm carbines and the CX4 has proven to be a personal favorite. Solid, accurate, reliable with all types of ammo, compact, lightweight, and it's simple/easy to disassemble for cleaning. My only complaints are that the safety feels a bit plasticy/cheap and the trigger pull is neither smooth nor light. Despite these minor issues, it's vastly superior to most pistol-caliber carbines on the market today except maybe those that cost significantly more.

This is my favorite pistol caliber carbine so far. I have shot a full auto MP5, since then i began to look for a pistol caliber gun for home defense and range. It is more accurate and hits harder (longer barrel brings out more velocity) than a 9mm pistol, yet not as loud or flashy like a rifle (you need to consider this especially if you may need to shoot indoors for home defense, etc.). I can hit a 3 in spinner target all day long at 45 yards with only iron sights or a red dot. Also, it uses the mags of my 92A1 so it made an even more ideal home defense equipment. My pistol is in the bedside safe, so if some one breaks in and once I got the pistol and extra mags, I can manage to get the rifle and stick in the mags without struggling to find the right mag for the carbine. I can even take out the mag of my 92 and stick it into the cx4 in emergency, big plus. Almost all operations are ambidextrous, you can even put on 2 charging handle (1 on each side) and that's what I did. Now a few cons of it (but doesn't stop me from loving it), 1. Stock length. I'm 6'2 with long LOP and I felt the stock is right length for me, and it can be longer if you put on another spacer, doesn't make sense. I wish if it can be shorter so my girlfriend can handle it better. 2. trigger pull. 8.5 lbs not adjustable. Definitely not one of the best trigger I've had, maybe one of the few in the bottom. But it does get the job done, so I don't really care. I'm not gonna shoot it with anything beyond 100 yards anyway. it's a 9mm. 3. buttons position. some buttons are hard to operate without shifting your grip. and like the mag release, you need to have long thumb to reach it. This could also goes to the stock design because it reduced you grip hand movement. 4. felt recoil is not quite much less than an AR. this might because of the blow back design. It doesn't have all those fancy buffer/spring combo like what AR has. So you feel the direct kick other than the muffled and delayed recoil an AR has. This might reduce your follow up shot speed, but it is not as loud as a 223 or making the big flash as a 223, so you get the sight picture quicker. 5. barrel length is 16.25 inch. I wish if they could make it 14.5 and pin a flash hider/compensator on it. Some people clocked a faster bullet speed after they cut it down to 14.5 comparing to the factory setup. And if you look at its military counterpart - MX4, its even shorter than 14.5 inchs. 6. side and bottom rails. You need to buy the whole set of other side rail to hang the bottom rail for a foregrip, and all these are plastic, well, polymer if you insist. So it can get loose over use, and you cannot adjust it (the bottom rail). Also, if you want to get Aluminum side rails (and Beretta do sell them), you are wasting the 2 plastic side rails because they don't have a metal side/bottom rail set for sale. However, these are all no reason for me to refuse this gun, especially at it's price. Those sig MPXs are sold for 2k and above. Also, cx4 is very easy to disassemble and clean.

This is an awesome little carbine! It's not perfect but overall it's really superb. First off, the negatives. The trigger is really horrible- it's long, heavy and mushy. It doesn't prevent the Storm from getting minute-of-bad-guy accuracy but it's annoying. I'm also not crazy about the cross-bolt type safety. It's the same type you'd commonly see on shotguns but since the Storm carbine is set up like a pistol I'd rather have a pistol-type safety lever. Again, not a big issue. But there's so much to like about this carbine! First it's extremely compact and short- only about 31" overall. This makes it very nimble and easy to handle, even in tight spaces. It's also very very reliable, and seems to eat anything. And despite the crappy trigger the gun is a tack driver. Ergonomically it's excellent, well laid out. The sights are decent for what they are (wish they took an M4 front post). This gun is a really superb value as well. I bought mine for $650 shipped, and for that price you get a very nice hard case (for the money), and the gun ships with a top rail attached, a pic rail that extends from the forend and a side rail section in the case that you can attach to either side. It also shipped with two x 15 round Beretta 92 mags. My advice is to get this version if you want to use 92 mags; technically there's a magwell conversion adapter but it's very hard to find. Lastly it has sling studs fore and aft as well as an ambi slot on either side of the rear of the buttstock. I'm extremely happy with the Storm carbine! It's compact, easy to shoot well and intuitive to operate, just like a big handgun. The ability to use cheap, common Beretta mags is really great. All in all there's not much to complain about aside from the trigger. Highly recommended.

I own a Beretta M9A1, use the M9 "at work". The CX4 is a great complement for all around target, plinking, and home defense. The magazine interchangeability means I can load up all of my 92FS/M9 magazines prior to going to the range and simply get out there and shoot. Much like my M9A1, accuracy is "spot on". Fired at an indoor range and tore out the bullseye from the back of the range. Operation is simple and easy, like a long barrel pistol with a stock (which is what it really is). The bolt is very solid and I can't see it ever wearing out. The trigger internals do have quite a bit of polymer parts but doesn't seem to degrade operation. As noted by others, the trigger is on the heavier side and can be overcome with lots of range time and rounds down range. From a tactical perspective, this is easily accessorized and handles very quick from the ready position to firing. Overall, love this carbine as well as Buds prices and shipping. Have recommended to friends who now have one on order.

Fun gun. Trigger is not the best. Probably will trade the plastic one out for a metal one. Otherwise, it does fire straight and true.

Bud's is such a pleasure to buy from. Everything I get is on time and in new condition. I just bought this Beretta Cx4 Storm carbine in 9mm to pair with a Beretta 92FS. This weapon is a nice piece of work. I mounted a Meprolight 21T reflex sight on top and a Streamlight flashlight with red lazer under. This will be mainly a home defense weapon for my wife. Short and easy to handle in the house and give her three points of contact. Have not shot it yet but understand it has fine accuracy. I love Beretta products and dealing with Buds.

First off, Bud's did an OUTSTANDING job shipping this super FAST to my FFL. I love the light weight and the ergonomics of the carbine. It feels great in the hands and sights up pretty naturally for those used to peep sights. The incline of the foregrip gives the shooter a pretty comfortable grip up front without having to install a vertical grip. I have a rail set and grip ordered anyway, but you could live without it if you wanted to. The carbine is also super easy to disassemble for cleaning and even comes with a nice quality cleaning kit from Beretta. One of the other selling points of this carbine has to be the ability to switch the controls around for southpaws. (my wife will love that) The only real complaint I have about the CX4 Storm is the placement of the mag release. Even if you moved it to the opposite side, it sits in such an unnatural place and is stiff enough, that it would be pretty tough to manipulate with your shooting hand. All in all, this is a great deal for the money. Counting the extra mag, the hard case, the cleaning kit, the mag loader, a sight tool, one side rail and your manuals, you've got pretty much everything you'll need except for the ammo.

This is an excellent carbine in 9mm....easy to handle....light recoil. Comes with 2 mags...15 rounders. Pro-Mag makes 30 rounders that fit this carbine but then......any Beretta 92FS mag will fit too. This makes it very versatile for anyone who owns the 92FS pistol. Took it to the range today and put 100 rounds of American Eagle thru it. No msifires...no FTF...it performed flawlessly even tho I was too lazy to clean it before firing it. Very accurate !! This is a definite buy for anyone and everyone. Buds did their usual great job too.

There's two things you need to know here... This gun is a blast to shoot. Precise, responisive, minimal recoil. Just plain FUN. As usual, great prices and fast shipping from Bud's. More importantly, I had a round back fire in the gun (not the gun's fault), blowing out the bolts (?) inside the gun. I sent it back to Beretta, and had the gun back in my hands in under two weeks, free of charge (including shipping), and in a new case. So, with that being said, I would recommend THIS and ANY Beretta product!!! Safe Shooting!

Very impressed with Bud's Gun Shop. It took less than a week to receive my Cx4 9mm. the whole transaction went without a hitch. Took my new Cx4 to the range and was really impressed with the gun. Shooting the Beretta is like driving a Ferrari. I really like being able to use my Beretta 92 FS magazines in my Cx4 Carbine. The ease of field stripping, and reassembly is typical of the Beretta name. If you're looking for a 9mm carbine you won't be disappointed with the Cx4.

This puppy is just a blast to shoot. As other reviewers have said, the built-in sights work well, but I just added an inexpensive scope for fun and also bought a "sheath" that fits over the barrel and makes the carbine look bad ass. Very, very light recoil. I use my Glocks primarily for home-defense, but I am not great at 15-25 yds with them. This carbine fills that gap nicely. On the downside, it shoots very "dirty" so important to keep clean.

Worth every penny for what I got. Shipping was fast and Buds had the best price around. Over $200 less than what I could find locally and that only came with a 10 round mag where this one from Bud's came with 2 15rd magazines and the case. Extremely accurate and a blast to shoot at the range. My only real complaint is the mag release is really short and stiff and it isn't ambidextrous, really a pain to use. I'm going to have to buy some spacers to increase the length of pull because it's a little short for me. Perfect for my wife, but she's only 5'4" tall. Fit and finish is great, everything is tight with no gaps or rattles. The cocking handle is a little loose, but every one of the cx4's I've handled is loose. This is fast becoming my favorite range gun and has so far worked flawlessly with anything that I've shot through it. Only thing I haven't shot through it is steel case.
