What a weapon!! It just arrived the other day so I took it out to the quarry to see how it would preform. First I shoot four groups of three rounds to sight it in at 25yds from a bench rest; out of the box it was almost dead on. The final groups were within 1 1/2”. I then moved out to 50yds. and was striking the silhouette target at center mass.

I fired almost three hundred rounds using PMC 55gr, PMC 62gr, and Hornady 75gr. The little Sig ate it up without a hiccup. I ended up using the pistol sleeve as a stock and it worked perfectly. It is legal to use it as a stock as long it is not altered.

I realize that the smaller barrel reduces the muzzle velocity, however, it is still producing a faster velocity than a 357 magnum. I tested the impact by using gallon milk jugs filled with water at 25yrds. The PMC 55gr left a nice exit hole, however, the Hornady 75gr created a large gaping hole.

This is not a long distance shooter and it was not designed for that purpose. However, if you are looking for a fun weapon to shoot and possibly used as home defense than the Sig Sauer 516 pistol will fill the bill.

Note to the wise, use hearing protectors and glasses when firing. It is extremely loud and creates a good foot flame.
