Gun showed up dirty like it had been fired significantly, not just a test round or two. However, I accepted the gun and cleaned it up. Works flawlessly with 45 colt. Haven’t shot any 410 yet. May update if there are issues with the 410. Otherwise, solid and accurate Gun!

Now for the firearm. This is a quality Smith and Wesson revolver. I am not disappointed with my purchase at all. If you are considering a Judge i would highly recommend giving The Governor a look. WELL worth the extra money for a way better firearm that loads .45acp in addition to everything a Judge can do.

As usual the order and delivery process was excellent. I fired this pistol yesterday and it was a real delight. For me, it was well balanced, the sights were dead on accurate, no problems with ammunition, and needless to say I am extremely pleased. Thanks to the great people at Buds!

Very fun gun! No issues with 45 ACP or 45 Colt. Doesn't fire every other 410 shells, several manufacturers were tried.

I love the Governor. It is a great firearm.
I was rather disappointed at the condition it was in when I received it. The barrel, at least two chambers in the cylinder, and the frame right above the inlet to the barrel had gun powder residue that I needed to clean. The cylinder was covered in scratches and the frame has a decent groove from the cylinder being opened and closed many many times. It certainly did not look like a new firearm. I have purchased several revolvers and never have I received one in this condition. This is the first I have purchased without being able to handle it and look it over, and probably the last.

Light weight but packs a lot of punch. Kicks a little with the .410 but .45's are very smooth. Fun at the range and a good nightstand option. Big plus that you can use the 45 auto rounds in moonclips as the other rounds are a little pricey for everyday plinking. I didn't like the black blade front sight so I replaced it with a tritium big dot front sight and its a big improvement. I used a sight intended for the M&P Shield and had to file it down a little to get it to fit.

I purchased the Smith & Wesson Governor 6RD 410 . I am pleased with quality and workmanship. I fired the firearm and it performed and handled well. Also I want to say Buds came threw very well with the Their end of the deal . The firearm got to my FFl in a very timely manner. One other note If you purchase a firearm from S&W the item has been fired and tested by them , S&W will not clean the firearm before it ships, the firearm may look like its used. I doubled checked this out, with a S&W customer support representative.

Better balance than the Judge, plus 6 rounds instead of 5........what's not to like. I'm glad I got it.

Received gun in timely fashion. Gun would not fire 6 rounds of 410 ammo without having at least 2 to 3 misfires. Got in touch with Smith and Wesson and the gun is now in there shop for repair. Gun fired all other ammo with no problems of misfires. Wasn’t real happy about repair but it should be ok.

great revolver and to date have fired .45acp and .45 colt loads...have yet to try .410 shells.you will not be disappointed..

Shoots as reasonable as to be expected with .410 shells. A blast to shoot! This one is just for fun for me so I can't really speak of practicality... S&W quality revolver! Bud's service excellent as always, thanks.

Great Gun. The workmanship and smooth trigger are just as expected from S&W. Fired a variety of ammo. 45 Colt, 45 ACP in moon clips, and 410 Winchester. It's very accurate and an easy shooter. I've had several Judges and feel this is well worth the extra cost. Quality is worth it.

Great all purpose gun arrived in good shape. Solid trigger pull found ammunition on sale for gun range fun . Wife was happy also. I knew it was a reason this gun sales out so fast. Bigpoppa-Detroit

I have a variety of pistols, shotguns, and rifles, and the Governor cannot be beat for reliability, stopping power, and ammo options when it comes to home defense. Surprisingly accurate out to 15 yds and the critical defense options in 410 almost guarantee a hit at that distance. The only thing that rivals it for home defense is a shotgun - but good luck fitting that in your bedside safe! I'm no expert, but I seriously doubt you are going to need more than 6 rounds in a home defense situation.

Great shooter. Perfect in all regards. Fit and finish are faultless. DeSantis NY Undercover works well under my vest. Nobel 3x .400 cal balls is preferred ammo. Thats three 92g balls at 850fps strung vertically due to recoil. About the same as three .380ACP shots all at once. Also have a Judge but will most likely retire it. Its 3ich bbl and cyl. make it bigger and heavier than the Governor. Also only 5 shots vs 6 on the S&W. My Governor came bone dry inside, easily corrected. Team Buds shipping was beyond fast too. Very happy camper with this shooter!

Have two of these now. Great guns, smooth action. Like that you can shoot 6 shots compared to Taurus 5. Can shoot 3 different ammo. .45LC, .410, and .45acp. Moonclips are like speed loaders.
