so far, so good, I've only had it a week or two, waiting for the snow to melt. I do like the feel of it.

Big and not very pretty but very inexpensive. great for a gun for the range when you dont want to but wear on a more costly firearm

good for home defense; shoots good. did not like the safety latch. not for old men., good priced weapon.

Hipoint firearms aren't the prettiest (or lightest) guns at the show, but at the end of the day they go bang, and they don't break the bank. I ordered the .45 and .380 Hipoint home security packs from Buds and couldn't be happier. They both arrived quickly and in perfect condition. I will definitely be doing more business with Buds in the future.

Heavy,bulky, and ugly just what you expect from a high point. But very reliable and cheap pistol. I'm not into all the shiny pretty stuff, so I enjoy this pistol and would recommend it to everyone.

I admit I was perhaps not sober when I made the purchase but have to also admit the gun shoots well and accurately. It’s too effin big but actually a nice defense gun. I like more expensive guns but have to endorse this one.

This was the first handgun I bought and I liked the idea of a security package to keep it all together. The product shipped quickly and efficiently from Buds to the LLC. I took the .45 out shooting this past week and, though it is heavy, as most people have noted, it shoots straight and true with no jams or difficulties to note for the first 50 rounds. Going in the far outback of Oregon hiking where bears and cougars are frequently (saw a bear yesterday!), having this on me helps me feel comfortable. I will recommend this brand as an inexpensive means for self-protection to my friends.

Excellent product regardless of the cost. I have purchased several and have never had an issue. Reliable, economical, and accurate. I like the heft of the unit, the solid feel of it, and it's ease of use. The only concern is just having one clip and not two however, the extra clips are easy enough to order.

I've had this pistol for a year now and have put several hundred rounds through it. Surprisingly it has worked nearly flawlessly. I've only had a very small handful of FTF's, and that was when using some slightly lighter ammo. Other than that it's worked like a champ.

Everyone who has been around firearms in general has heard the myths about Hi-Points... They'll blow up in your hand, they have jam and bad feed issues.. They're throw-aways, only criminals would buy one... Allow me to quash those myths for you... the JHP45 is a great handgun at a great price. Like anything in life, it's subject to pros and cons. The pros - It's well priced, EXTREMELY accurate, comes with a LIFETIME TRANSFERABLE WARRANTY The cons - A tad on the heavy side, not the IDEAL CC handgun, difficult for a novice gun owner to field strip/maintain To put it in a language that anyone could understand, this is a great buy when it comes to a .45acp handgun. You can go out and spend up to 5x's the amount OR MORE on pricier models of a .45 and can expect the same results. EVERY FIREARM is prone to jams, hang-ups, general reliability issues, and the rare catastrophic accident. Don't let the 'Hi-Point hater hype' dissuade you.. I took mine directly to the range from my FFL and put 300 rounds through it without a hiccup, and I look forward to thousands more. Great firearm, great price.. Thanks Buds!!!

Ordered monday had it by thursday fast easy transaction came with the locking case i was surprised at how durable the case was. The gun looks great right out of the box cant wait to shoot it. I got the laser lyte it attaches to the trigger guard and is a must have accessory for this gun it def. improves the look of this beast. First buy from buds and i couldnt be happier.

Bought this gun for Home defense only. It is way to heavy for a carry gun, but certainly does what it is supposed to for guarding my home. Purchased the golden Boa snake skin pattern grips for it, and it dressed it up a bit. Very happy with all High-Point Firearms, as this is my 3rd gun from them!

100% love it, I have a friend with a glock 45 acp who wanted to trade guns because of the accuracy and there is literally no recoil. That is up until I told him there 180 new on buds. But any way the recoil is so low my 14 year old sister shoots it with no problem and she's a girly girl who complains for every thing. So any way love the gun love buds thank you. Already got my uncle to buy the same gun from buds, he loved it such a big gun and no recoil. i like this product but it only good for home defence and for a first time gun. wouldnt choose this for target practice or clay shooting. its a very simple pistol not much to it, theres no hammer you cock it and the only way to disarm it is to remove the clip then remove the round from the chamber. but all this aside its perfect for home defence.

It's a Hi-Point, bought in conjunction with the 4595 for the magazine compatibility. Which is great for home defense as that was the primary reason for purchase. It's heavy, no frills but shoots straight and accurate. The lock box was ok, seemed to be dinged up a bit when packaged or shipped. A little TLC got it back to closing properly. I personally didn't like the grip but a Hogue fixed that right up quickly. It's a solid shooter for the price and Buds was great with the order.
