Great carry revolver. I have a slight preference for the cylinder release of the J-frame but the LCRx's trigger and replaceable front sight can't be beat.

I am very happy with this purchase. I chose this articular model particularly because is offers single and double action firing in addition to its inconspicuous concealed carry profile; plus P option, and because it's made in the United States of America. I did consider other U.S. competing models, however this one also met my budget requirements. I am not in a situation where I have to carry everyday and most days I can not because I am not allowed to do so on the Military Installation where I am employed. My hands are not large so Ruger LCRx fits nicely in my palm. Since 38 Special is a well know caliber, there are many options for different types of rounds for defense and range practice firing. I hope I will never be placed in a position where I have to use it to protect myself or my beautiful loving Wife. Buds provided the best price (I paid by electronic check) and warranty option.

Nice revolver. Fit and finish is great. Light weight, no malfunctions after over 200 rounds of ball and hollow points. Standard pressure and +P rounds. I really like it.

The infamous Ruger rattle is annoying so don’t buy this as an ankle gun. Buds was great.

Bud's was great to deal with. Ordering was easy, shipping prompt as promised, and arrived at my local shop as promised in brand new condition.
I have two other Ruger revolvers so I like the similarity and my familiarity with the LCRx as a personal protection concealed carry piece. It fits my hand great and feels like a much larger revolver when held, even though it is so small and light. I chose a revolver as a personal carry piece because there is no fear of a jam in a pistol, and it is ready to shoot as-is fully loaded with a shell in the chamber. The Ruger transfer bar (only allows the hammer to hit the firing pin if the trigger is pulled fully back) is a Ruger safety feature that I feel is critical for a loaded concealed carry revolver. I was surprised that my gun came with a white front sight that makes acquiring a target easier than the black front sight I was expecting, a very nice upgrade by Ruger.
The bottom line is I am very happy with Bud's and Ruger.

Nice compact revolver, but buyer beware you can NOT use a speed loader! in fact you have to rotate the cylinder to load the last round because the left hand grip protrudes past the fully open cylinder. Maybe i am doing something wrong but i would think that the proper procedure to load this revolver would be in the fully open position. I understand the no return policy and do NOT blame Bud's gun sales, but this should have been discovered by someone at the manufacturing level before sending it out into the field. I am very disappointed with this Ruger revolver. I will have to take a closer look at the grip and maybe take my drumel to it but that is not the solution i want to take. Please let me know if other grips available or am I stuck doing a field modification that would affect the value of this revolver. Please forward this to Ruger, I am going to rate this revolver at 1 star.

The LCRx is a good concealed carry option. The quality and finish are first rate. And as always, Bud's service was first rate.

Buds was AWESOME as usual, they have the best prices and the fastest shipping and service. It doesn't get much better than the Ruger LCRx, the weight, the trigger, the design and with the exposed, but not big, hammer for that critical single action shot if or when needed and really no worries of it getting hung up on something or snagging. I did alot of research before choosing this revolver, videos, articles, reviews, comparisons, etc. I think with all the revolvers out there this was the best possible choice for what I was looking for and thats coming from someone that had no monetary constraints, I would have paid whatever price for something I had my mind made up about, the price for the LCRx was just an extra bonus. Light recoil from a light handgun.

I received the firearm promptly and the FFL transfer went very smooth with a Bud's Preferred FFL dealer. However, the front sight on the revolver did not have the white strip as the newer revolvers have. The one I received had a fired shell casing in a paper bag with the date of April 2014 on it, so build was sometime in 2014. I did not think of asking if the front sight had the white strip on it. Not a big deal as you can buy the factory front sight with the white strip for $25 and the price of the revolver was well below the price of any other retail store.

THIS IS ANOTHER WELL MADE RUGER 'WHEEL GUN'..UNFORTUNATLY IT SPENDS MOST OF ITS TIME IN A BED SIDE DRAWER. OCCASIONALLY I'LL TAKE IT WITH OTHER PISTOLS TO THE GUN RANGE...I SHOOT IT MOSTLY AS A SINGLE ACTION AND IT'S VERY ACCURATE. A GOOD CHOICE .

Awesome little revolver. Shoot nice, very comfortable grip, super light and accurate. Very comfortable for carry.

Single and double action is a real plus. Add a laser and you have a great 38 +P carry piece.

Buds had this revolver on the 180 lay-away program. Although I have numerous revolvers that shoot .38 Special +P, I was impressed with the fact that my friend carries this firearm as his EDC, even though he has over 30 handguns. Therefore I decided to order it, and I'm not disappointed. The trigger action is impressive. I like it much better than my S&W 642. The lite weight also commends it as a concealed carry weapon (though I prefer my .44 Charter Arms Bulldog,that weighs only 20 ounces). If you are in the market for a well built, lite weight revolver with a superior trigger action for a competitive price, this is your weapon!
