Great weapon! Excellent fit and finish. No slop between upper and lower. Trigger pull is smooth, not gritty. Very accurate right out of the box. I've put about 600 rounds through so far. Had some feed problems, but it turned out to be the Thermold mags I was using. DON'T BUY THEM! Switched to Hexmags and all is right in the world. If you look at the history of the people who build this weapon, you will see that it is an outstanding value for the price. I'm very happy with this purchase, and everything went smooth with Bud's.

Other than the NJ specific things that have to be removed or not offered, this is a fantastic rifle. The build quality is top notch. The fit and finish is perfect. The stock is not flimsy and there is no movement on the rear commercial buffer tube. SOLID! There is no light shown through the upper and lower receivers. Trigger pull is smooth and has no play before the engagement. The top rail and carry handle are great. The rifle is smooth and I have had zero issues with the first 500 rounds. I put both 5.56 and 223 through it and it is flawless. Out of the box it was pretty closely dialed in at 25 yards. A few adjustments and the grouping with me standing and no bipod etc.. was around 1.5 to 2 ". Buy this rifle, add a red dot and be done. Have fun and stay safe!!!

I'll preface this review by saying that I have not yet fired the weapon, as I just received it yesterday. That said, the rifle is immaculate. Fit and finish are perfect and just as tight and clean as the Colt and Sig I'd handled, and markedly better than the M&P15. The action is very tight but smooth, with very solid lock-up between parts. Imperceptible slop between the upper and lower receivers. When handling a Windham, you really get the sense of very high quality and upper tier craftsmanship. This rifle cost me $800 through Bud's, but it looks and feels exactly like the $1200 weapons I've recently handled. Bud's was phenomenal and fast with shipping and communication. I paid for the weapon on a Friday, and the rifle arrived at my FFL the following Wednesday morning. My questions were answered quickly, thoroughly, and with patience and friendliness. In fact, one of their employees took a moment to call me on a Sunday to check on my accessories order. He was very friendly and helpful. You simply don't find customer service like that up here in Jersey, or elsewhere. Bud's, and Windham Weaponry have impressed me a lot, and they've both earned another loyal customer. Windham's rifles are seriously top notch, and I would compare this weapon to any Colt, Sig, and every other well known brand I have handled. These guys are 100% squared away and good to go. You will NOT be disappointed.
