Received my new rifle in a timely manner as is common when dealing with Buds. Have mounted a Weaver 3x9 scope on it but have not had the opportunity to take it to the range as yet. The only drawback I can find is that I have not been able to find a recoil pad that will fit this stock without extensive modification. I will continue to seek one that will fit without a lot of work. Rifle is beautiful and I will update review once I get it to the range.

Recently received my new BDL in .30-06 and it looks like Remington can still deliver a fine product. It's blue finish and walnut stock give it a classic old style look. It's plenty accurate too with the good quality scope I mounted on it. Once again Bud's came through with good customer service and decent prices.

Serviceable product and excellent sevice and price from buds. My local ffl and I went over this rifle meticulously before I signed off on it, it really is a must when buying a firearm this way so grease some palms if you have to. The rifle, out of the box on sandbags shot 1.25 to 1.5 moa with factory core loct 180 and 165 gr ammo which is acceptable hunting accuracy. I reckon the barrel is supposed to be free floated from the factory as there is no barrel tension bumb in the stocks barrel groove but there was a bunch of shalack drippings in the stock that were putting load on the barrel so shooting offhand and using the sling as a vice would scatter rounds all over creation I bedded a small area around the recoil lug and front stock bolt and sanded out the barrel groove and now it shoots .5 to .75 moa with the same ammo in 5 shot groups. So a bit of meticulous tinkering goes a long way here. The plastic buttstock is cheesy and unkind to the shoulder so I replaced it with a limbsaver knockoff. I was a bit nervous about remington but I would recommend a bdl to anyone who needs a good sturdy rifle large game

Remington is a premier American gun maker, make no mistake. The "BDL"series shows that they're committed to quality.This rifle is an excellent example of their engineering and craftmanship with longguns. Besides being beautiful, I was delighted with the fit, feel and workmanship that Remington put into it. The trigger came set at about 3 lbs which is good enough for my purposes. Topped with a Leupold 3-9x40 scope, it'll soon go to the range for sighting it. Dollar for dollar it's better out-of-the-box than some other domestic offerings. I'm proud to own it.

Nice shooter-much better than I expected given the last few years of Remington. This gun is great at what it’s known for-great trigger awesome accuracy and classic good looks. Will be an excellent gun for deer and elk. Shipping was fast and price was respectable. I try to do business with Buds because they’re pretty solid on delivery-and they support Hickock 45.

Bought the Remington 700 BDL in .30-06 and Buds was a pleasure to work with. Shipping was fairly quick too. The fit and finish on this rifle is gorgeous. Very comfortable to shoulder and shoot. I was a little leery at first about purchasing this rifle cause of a lot of negative comments on the web concerning Remington/Marlin products but Remington got it right with this rifle! I wanted this rifle for a long time and I'm glad I got it...no regrets!

This is an awesome rifle! I have wanted one for 39-years, and every time I came close to buying one, something came up. I bought one from Buds for under $750...OMG! This is a 30-06 and the rifle is fan-damn-tastic since Remington fixed their trigger issues.

First off, I know that I read a lot of reviews praising Buds for being so fast. Plan on waiting a week. I'm not saying they're slow, but I've ordered several guns here, and it's always about a week...so don't get your hopes up and be disappointed. About the rifle...I love it. It looks awesome, if you're into an old fashioned looking hunting rifle that screams AMERICA...and in this case, chambered in a classic hunting round that also won World War II...you can't help but love this rifle! I went all out and bought an American made scope, base/rings, and sling/sling swivels. It DOES feel good having a rifle and everything on it made it AMERICA. But anyways...I held a couple at gun stores and didn't purchase them due to scratches and obvious rough handling. I understand that hunting rifles will accumulate scratches, but I want to be the one to put them there. This rifle from Buds was flawless. The stock was perfect. The finish was perfect. It really looked like a New In Box rifle. It also shoots great. I'll give that credit to Remington, though. The furthest I've shot paper is 100 yards and I can group sub MOA with a 5 shot group. I really like the X Mark Pro trigger. It breaks really crisp (a solid one stage trigger with no creep) and is SUPER easy to adjust. You can look it up in a search engine online, but basically, there's a small screw on the trigger, and you just turn it with a provided allen wrench...no breakdown of the rifle at all...which is nice because you can make quick adjustments while sighting it in and see what pull is most comfortable for you. I don't have a measuring device for the pull weight, but I adjusted it down half a pound (half a turn of the screw) and I love it. This rifle is definitely a keeper. I hope this helps somebody.

Beautiful piece of wood. Nice fit to wood metal. New Remington trigger is nice and does improve on the accuracy if you shoot properly. 1/2 inch groups and smaller are the norm at the bench @ 100yds. Problem is Remington decided to use plastic on the butt stock and some crappy cheap metal for the floor plate. I feel this is not up to Remington's standard if they have any. After market floor plates can be purchased at a hefty price if you choose to. But overall Remington produced another good rifle for deer and elk hunters that can be carried without worry through the woods and mountains, I am happy with my new BDL 30'06! Plus It shoots great. Thanks to Bud's for a pleasant transaction.

The trigger on this rifle is amazing,the fit and finish are great and the accuracy...well lets just say it will put one on top of the other at 200 yds w/ a good scope.the only downside in my opinion is the the pot metal trigger guard and floorplate,outside of that it is the perfect hunting rifle all imho,but for the money i would call it a great buy.
