*I believe it was straight from the factory, however, it had a strange white powder on the cantilever. I don't know what it was, but it wasn't overly easy to remove.
*On the sixth round it jammed
*Upon sight-in, was able to put a grouping of three shots within a 4 inch circle at 90 yards (approximate "zero" for the ammunition I was using)
EDITORIAL: I was disappointed with the initial impression. This is literally the first brand new shotgun I've ever bought. Had Remingtons most of my life and frankly was expecting a better first impression. In fairness, this was completely out of Buds control and perhaps this is "normal" for new guns. Like I said, this was my first experience. Also, as I cleared the jam I must admit that at least theoretically, it could have been my fault. I found that if you do not push the shells well into the tube, they can slip behind the follower. All this said, I am reasonably happy with the gun now that it's sighted in and knowing how to handle it. Would I buy again...probably not. For the money, I am pretty disappointed. Call me crazy, but a new items should look completely flawless...new and unused. The finish was somewhat spotty and it really kills me to talk poorly of my old standby...the Remington name. I feel like I paid an extra couple hundred dollars for a mediocre firearm with a good name. Oh well, I want to stress again that this in no way reflects on Bud's Gun Shop.
