Is it safe to fire 22 caliber shot shells in this pistol? I want to use it as a snake gun

Yes you can shoot 22 shotshells in it just fine I suggest you shoot a paper target with it and see what kind of pattern it has at the distance you expect to shoot the snake it may be tough to get enough pellets out of the 22lr on target to kill a snake I use my 45LC with shotshells I am just not sure about the pattern density with the 22 lr shells I hate being 4 feet away from a big copperhead

I have dispatched many snakes over the years with my NAA Mini-master and 5 to 8 feet is 85% 1st shot kill with the 22 Mag shot shells. 22lr may be 4 to 6 feet.

Yes it is just remember with the short barrel you do not get you do not get the distance as you would with a longer barrel so if you are carrying around because of snakes I would recommend a six inch barrel such as the ruger it is one that I and my family carry when we are in eastern Kentucky where there are a lot of timber rattlers
