its not really a SA or a da it is a striker fired action with a glock type trigger safety the trigger pull is the same on every shot 6-7 pound pull
David, This is a striker fired firearm. It has the USA action trigger system. This means you have a trigger safety . Gun cannot fire without depressing inner trigger to release striker release safety to fire the gun. I call it striker fired single action. Some people refer to the Ultra Safety Assurance Action Trigger System as double action because of the trigger safety. But has no hammer or frame safety. Does have a grip safety. Nice 6-7 pound pull. Will notice striker drag on spent cases because of sub compact size. Shell case is grabbed by extractor while striker is forward. Single action striker fired.

David, this is a (SA striker-fired Action Semiauto) same as the Glock but includes a grip safety and trigger safety, along with a striker status indicator and loaded chamber indicator. Trigger pull will 6.5 pounds without modification out of the box. This is a thorough review/test of this pistol : usacarry.com/springfield-armory-xd-9-mod-2-sub-compact-9mm-review/
