  • .22 autos can be finicky critters sometimes. Everyone here has got the right idea...clean it really well. I like Gun Scrubber, a pressure can of spray that cuts through gunk and grease. Use a high grade oil to lube it after a good hose out. Many rifles and carbines just don't like standard velocity ammo, like you may shoot in your handguns. They require the snappier recoil of High Velocity ammo. If cleaning and ammo don't fix the issue see a gunsmith or contact the manufacturer.

  • This malfunction can be caused by a variety of factors. I'm not clear on the exact type of malfunction you're experiencing, but it looks like it is a failure to feed a new round after ejecting a spent casing. This can happen if the bolt is not going back far enough due to grease or other obstructions. This could also indicate an issue with the magazine. There are other considerations and steps to take as well:
1.) This particular firearm may be sensitive to certain types of ammunition. Buy a small sampling of several different brands to see if one performs better than the others.
2.) If the firearm hasn't been cleaned since you purchased it, follow the manufacturer's suggested method of breaking down the firearm to remove any factory preservative with a degreaser of some sort, then follow that with a light amount of lubricant at friction points.
3.) The magazine may require cleaning; follow the manufacturer's suggested method of breaking down the magazine and thoroughly clean the follower, spring, and tube. Follow up with a very light coat of oil on the spring before reassembling.
If all else fails, reach out to the manufacturer to discuss what they can do to help you under the warranty. Be safe, and happy shooting!

  • I agree that a good cleaning is a must first step, new guns springs are stiff until they are broke in, I would run a hundred or two of cci stinger ammo if you can find it, its a bit more potent and usually will work fine in these firearms

  • After reading the reviews, many guys describe a long break in period on this .22, but after they that and they figure out what ammo it likes to be fed, they describe it as functioning nicely and loads of fun. It sound like you just gotta stick with it and get it broke in. Hope it works out for you.

  • They cake them in grease for shipping, so that first cleaning is essential. Also, try many different types of ammo, hotter loads may solve the problem. And inspect the magazine for proper feeding operation.

  • I would try cleaning and oiling it first, if you haven't already. Also try different ammo. Some 22s can be very picky
