The 7mm Remington Magnum was originally designed ( by 2 hunting guides and a target shooter) with heavy bullets to kill elk and will perform best with them. The heavier bullets will cause much less destruction to the meat because at a lower velocity and heavier construction they are less explosive.
Matt, you also gain better bullet ballistic coefficient which translates to less velocity shed at distance for better long range accuracy as the bullet is "more efficient" with better wind bucking capability. **Addition skill identifier Bravo Four**.
