The online version of S&W's owners manual states it is OK to use +P ammo in their M&P 45s, and further states: “Plus-P” (+P) ammunition generates pressures in excess of the pressures associated with standard ammunition. Such pressures may affect the wear characteristics and may result in the need for more frequent service". SO S&W DOES approve this pistol for 45 +P ammo.

Taylor, for safety and warranty purposes, I would adhere to Smith and Wesson's direct recommendation at (USA) 1-800-331-0852

Yes sir, it can, however one should not feed it a steady diet of +P as that will accelerate wear and tear on any pistol A few at a time, once per range session, would be fine. Some pistol makers recommend no more than 50 +P shells per range session.
