  • Lora - the answer to your question depends entirely on your intended use(s) for the firearm. If you plan on using it to carry concealed for defense, then the shorter barrel is the best option, obviously, for weight purposes, and since defensive shooting is 'up close and personal', a longer barrel for accuracy at distance is not required.. On the other hand if you want a target pistol, or a firearm to use for hunting, or just target practice, then a longer barrel makes more sense. No one who actually knows anything about firearms would venture to tell you one is better for you than the other, without knowing what you want the firearm to achieve. You will have to make a determination, based on your needs for a firearm. Hope this makes sense. thanks.

  • 3 inch barrel will still allow shot to spread while providing stability when shooting 45 loads. If the barrel is to short the powder will not burn effectively before exiting the barrel.
