  • I know the M2 is suppose to have a better trigger, but for those of us who prefer the paddle style safety, we have to settle for the worse trigger? Why wouldn't Walther simply upgrade the M1 trigger? If they're continuing to produce the M1, it would only make sense to upgrade the trigger. ??

  • First, i have shot most all versions of these even tricked out triggers with these, in my opinion they are all decent. I wouldn’t get hung up on that for a pistol unless your a complete bad**s going down range with a side arm. Lastly, I advise anyone who has these types of questions to take the time to go rent/borrow/ or somehow shoot the firearm they want and check it out in person at least at a gun shop, then always order on BUDSGUNSHOP! They are the best with price.

  • Scott, the modification would be mini,al in cost since Walther already has the tooling equipment and the trigger group is a modular component anyway. This is probably an indication that they will be phasing out the M1 in the near future in my opinion. I prefer the paddle style mag release as well and agree that not upgrading the M1 trigger makes no sense while manufacture of the M1 is still current. I upgraded my trigger myself but Walther should be doing this instead.

  • most likely the cost of upgrading the trigger. a bean counter somewhere showed that it was more profitable to sell it without making modifications I suggest that you contact walther and let them know how you feel on this issue. if enough people demand the new trigger then walther may upgrade them ebay.com/itm/Remington-Detachable-Box-Magazine-12-Gauge-6rd-Fits-Remington-870-DM/114036129136?epid=23034600268&hash=item1a8d153d70:g:PlQAAOSwB8NdqlXZ
