I'm debating between the 3inch model or the 4 inch model, do you really lose a great amount of velocity from the 3inch compared the 4inch?

Hi Andre and welcome. Depends on what your shooting needs are. 1 inch of barrel length in .357 equals on average 50 fps to 80 fps depending on the load. Not a terribly lot in a magnum revolver but the extra ft-lbs of energy may make the difference. Cheers and stay safe!
