Postby 10millman on Thu Feb 26, 2009 3:20 pm

WAS JUST TALKING TO A LEO ABOUT BENSALEM MAYBE KICKING IN A CLAUSE THAT IF YOU CARRY CONCEILED YOU WOULD HAVE TO
BE INSURED FOR THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS. ANYONE ELSE EVER HEARD OF THAT???HOPE NOT THATS GOING TO REALLY HURT. AMMO IS SKYHIGH, GUN PRICES WILL MORE THEN LIKELY FOLLOW,THEN INSURANCE ON TOP OF IT. I GUESS IF THEY CAN'T TAKE THEM AWAY THEN THEY'LL MAKE IT REALLY HARD TO OWN ANY. BY THE WAY THIS IS BENSALEM PA, SORRY. THE NICE THING ABOUT BUCKS IS YOU CAN GET CC REAL EASY 14DAYS.AND ITS AN OPEN CARRY COUNTY.

Great question..

In today's world, any individual can sue you because they don't like the color of your socks and the really sad thing is that there is an attorney that would probably handle that case.

I have not heard of any governmental requirements for insurance for ccw, but it probably makes sense to do so.

BTW, I think that I have read that in some states - maybe Oklahoma is one - wherein you can not be sued civilly if you defend yourself with your CCW. Someone needs to verify this for me.

I know what you are talking about. Youtube has a bunch of videos from T.V broadcast about gun rights. There is one that I saw this morning that showed someone proposing to make you have insurance just for owning a gun. Their reasoning (you have vehicle and home insurance why nut gun insurance). Stupid!!!! Studies show that you are more likely to die in a car accident or house fire than by a gun. The guvnah of PA is hard up on gun control. Good luck PA.

Yeah, Florida has no duty to retreat. If you are assaulted, threatened, etc you can stand your ground (and use deadly force if it is justified by legit fear for your life/safety).
