Solid rifle and I like the quad-rail. Also like the rpk rear sight. It's an AK, so appearance is not an issue for me. The only magazine I can get to work is the one that came with it. No other AK mag I have works. I really, really don't understand how that is even possible. Also, if you install the rail covers that come with the rifle on the top rail, they COMPLETELY obscure the sights. Woops. But it shoots each and every time you pull the trigger. It's no more or no less accurate at 100M than any other AK I own or have shot.

This has become my favorite gun, so much fun to shoot. Cycles all brands of ammo flawlessly. Just buy it

Was caked up with packing grease, but after a good wipe down she is good to go. Nice ak for the price and the buttstock is awesome.

This was my first transaction with buds and definetly not my last. Shipping and communication were excellent. This is also my first AK platform rifle and its awsome! The kicklite stock makes recoil almost unnoticeable, my red dot barely moves between shots making follow up quick and easy.Pay attention to the mag warning, Tapco waffle mags will not fit, all others I've tried so far perform flawlessly. I highly recommend this rifle to anyone looking for their first AK.

This is my first ak47. I was looking for a super rugged and fun weapon. When I placed my order, buds had this on the truck the same exact day. I received gun quickly and everything came in perfectly. Their customer service was also top notch helping me place the order. It did have allot of gunk and oil on it so you will want to make sure it's cleaned thoroughly before shooting, especially the gas tube but it's no big deal at all. I fired it today for first time and was consistently on target at about 50 yards with open sights. Shot 150 rounds and all went off flawlessly using tulammo. Great product and will be a return customer, no need to hesitate if you're interested in this model, it's fantastic!

Received my rifle in great condition, no canted sights and well preserved in cosmo. You have to thoroughly clean this baby before range time, trigger group, hammer, bore and bolt assembly. There where tiny metal shavings inside the receiver and around the feed guide that could affect a round going into battery. The finish is kinda rough but its parkerized so after cleaning everything just touch up any flaws with a finish marker, heat up the metal with a heat gun or blow dryer while giving it an oil bath and let sit for an hour or so, the parker will absorb the oil and leave it a nice dark color...even my safety lever won't leave a scratch after doing this. I like doing this with my firearms so "bad" finishes don't bother me, it is an AK after all. Threw 300rnds downrange without any failures, FMJ, HP, and around 100rnds of 25yo surplus. Dead on accurate at 50yrds with no flyers, did have to tweak with the sights a bit but with the windage adj on the rear sight it was quick. The Kicklite stock was amazing and allowed for quick follow up shots, even tried it one handed at the bench rest and my sight picture barely left the target center. This is now my go to rifle, hands down she is a very reliable rifle and will eat whatever you feed her.

Excellent rifle. The plastic rail covers suck, so I got some sure grip ones for a few bucks. I had to LockTite the muzzle break on because it worked loose after about 100 rounds. It does not use the Promags well. Get the cheaper Tapsco mags they work flawlessly. I mounted my EOTech on the front rail. Perfect fit. It is a blast to shoot. I know I could hunt deer, hogs, and coyotes with it. The Wolf ammo is cheap and works great. My go to gun used to be my Benelli M4, or my SCAR 17S. I think this one may beat them both for functionality and reliability. I mean, you can drop it in the mud for a week, pick it up, and shoot it. Hard to beat that. The KickLite stock for $5.00 more is a no brainer. I have never noticed the recoil yet. I really like this gun.

I purchased most of my firearms on layaway which is a great way to buy from Buds. This weapon does not disappoint. I received it three days after my last payment and it arrived at my FFL in good condition.
After a through tear down and cleaning I had it ready in no time for the range. The only item that you need to be a bit careful with is reinstalling the rails as they seemed quite a chore to realign over the gas tube which is a bit snug. I recommend not removing them again as the gas tube can be easily cleaned with a cleaning rod without disassembly.
It does come with only one 30 round magazine which is a bit disappointing considering the purchase price. It would have been nice if it included at least three magazines. Another item that I noticed is it states in the description that Tapco magazines are not recommended but that’s what came with it and it functions well, so I can only assume that this must be a typo.
This weapon was very easy to acquire mech zero of 50 yards with iron sights, but I do recommend purchasing a front sight adjustment tool as I needed to lower the front sight a bit. The trigger is very smooth and the recoil is minimal, thanks to the Phoenix Kicklite collapsible stock.
I fired 120 rounds and had no FTEs and find it to be a very nice shooter. If you are looking for a proficient AK 47 this is the one for you.
Also I do not recommend the extra steel magazines that Buds has available for the Romanian AKs as they did not function well in my rifle. Your best bet is to stick with the polymer Tapco magazines.

This is an AK on steroids shot every thing I stuffed in it and had little recoil and good accuracy. The magazines (supplied and aftermarket) were a little tight until they were buffed some at the pivot point to the receiver. Only one mag came with the gun and I am sure the add called for 2. I would feel confident this gun would be good for white tail, hogs and such sized game and of course with the factory 30 round mag it is a dependable defensive weapon.
